The real estate industry brings Linda in touch with many people over the course of completing a transaction on the sale or purchase of a home. Since beginning her real estate career in 1979, she has realized more and more opportunities to be of service on a personal level with various worthwhile organizations, in addition to helping sellers and buyers.
Relay for Life
Linda’s involvement with community issues has compelled her to participate in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life (www.relayforlife.org) since 1995. The annual overnight event raises money for research and programs for the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
Rotary Club
John Felicetti also joins Linda in taking part in these various fund raising activities. And in a civic-minded capacity, John is a current member and is active with Rotary International’s local chapter (www.hgrotary.org).
Hockessin Neighborhood Relays
Linda is also a Supporter of the Hockessin Neighborhood Relays (www.hgrotary.org/July_4.html). This annual event takes place each 4th of July and kicks off the Independence Day activities in Hockessin.
Hockessin Planning Partnership
Linda and John have joined the “Hockessin Planning Partnership” and are sponsoring the corner at Lancaster Pike and Yorklyn Road. This involves maintaining the plantings, cutting the grass, emptying trash, and doing anything to keep the corner looking good! Landscaping services provided by 1St Impression Inc. - Fraxa Reasearch Foundation (www.fraxa.org) – An organization whose mission is to is to accelerate progress toward effective treatments and a cure for Fragile X, the most common inherited cause of mental impairment and the most common known cause of autism.
- The Autism Society of Delaware (www.delautism.org) - A group that aims to improve the lives of people with autism and their families and promote public awareness.
- Supporting Kidds (www.supportingkidds.org) – Organization that is dedicated to helping grieving children and their families after the loss of a loved one.
